How to navigate this story 📖
1. Start with the first section, “The Islamic Worldview.”
It lays the foundation of how Muslims once saw the world—through the lens of Tawḥīd, fitrah, and divine purpose.
2. Then move through the sections in order.
Each one flows into the next like chapters of a film—from our rise to our colonisation, and finally, to the path of liberation.
3. Every article, video, or post is categorised under one of these sections. You can follow the story chronologically or explore topics within each stage.
4. You’ll notice colour themes throughout—they symbolise the emotional and historical tone of each era. The palette transitions gradually, showing how our light dimmed—and how it can return.

The Islamic Worldview
The original paradigm where divine purpose shaped every aspect of life, and unity was built on shared values, justice, and a common mission.
The Rise of Islamic Civilisation
When we lived by those principles, Muslim civilisation flourished. For us at CTRL+N, the “golden age” isn’t bound to a single time or place, but reflected in every moment across history where justice, knowledge, and balance contributed to civilisation because we lived by Islamic principles.
The Decline of Islamic Civilisation
But as comfort replaced conviction and form overtook essence; we drifted from divine principles and our strength, clarity, and unity began to fade.
Colonialism
Our decline paved the way for colonialism that redrew maps, enslaved minds, and shattered the Ummah, reshaping our lands and our sense of self.
Colonised Islam
Through external manipulation and internalised trauma, our relationship with Islam was re-engineered into an individualistic, ritualised, and depoliticised form, leaving us passive even in the face of global injustice.
The Modern Empire: The Global Western Power Structure
When the empires fell, their control evolved from armies to systems, from flags to finance, ensuring the Ummah remained politically caged and economically exploited under new names and institutions
The Modern Battlefield: The Post 9-11 Narrative
Then came 9/11—a reaction to decades of Western intervention and exploitation. The power structure seized it as an opportunity to craft a narrative so sinister, it could be used to further justify the very wars, surveillance, and ideological control that had provoked it in the first place, all now repackaged under the banners of “freedom” and “democracy.”
